Cayman Island Diving

Cayman Island diving is famous among the diving community. Because of excellent underwater visibility and 18 protected marine wildlife reserves, the Cayman Islands are one of the most sought after dive destinations on the planet.

The reason for the great visibility is geological and has to do with the lack of sediment runoff when it rains. Because of this, the underwater visibility can reach up to 200 feet (62 m).

When scuba diving Grand Cayman Island, divers are treated to a dramatic and diverse marine environment. From breath taking wall dives like the Cayman Ridge that plunges to depths of over 25,000 feet (7850 m) to the shallow dive of String Ray City. Here as many as 200 stingrays will cluster around divers as the gather to be feed.
