Florida Keys Diving

When it comes to scuba training, Florida Keys Diving can not be beat. Clear blue water, great underwater visibility and excellent dive sites for training provide a quality introduction to Caribbean scuba diving.

Because the reef runs parallel to the coast and is only 5 miles (8km) off shore, most Florida Keys scuba diving is boat diving. There are many great wrecks and classic reef formations. The shallower inner reefs provide a great place for diver trainees. The reefs are teeming with a vibrant array of Caribbean marine life.

This string of coral and limestone islands is home to the first every U.S. marine park. John Pennecamp State Park was established in 1960. Realizing the importance of this diverse marine environment, the park has protected areas reaching 3 miles (5km) beyond the reef.
