WE LIVE ON THE EAST END OF LONG ISLAND N.Y. SOUTHAMPTON TO BE EXACT. CAN YOU RECOMMEND A DIVE SCHOOL IN THE AREA. THANK YOU MVLOREN
I have researched four of the 357 dive shops Google list for the Southhampton area. From what I can see, these dive shops offer quality scuba courses. I visited their websites and found they also have good training facilities. But you're the one that has to be comfortable with where you do your scuba training and your instructor.
One way to find the dive shop that is right for you is to ask a friend. If you have friends that are divers, they could offer some first hand information on their favorite dive shop.
Another way is to visit the dive shops in your area. Ask for a tour of the facilities and a chance to talk to the instructors. Ask about their dive boat, the type of equipment they use or anything esle you might have a question about.
It's important to be comfortable with all aspects of your scuba course. This makes the learning and the training much easier and more enjoyable.
